Marathon News
Our 2013 marathon ran from Monday April 8th at 6am until Monday April 21st at 6am.   The Marathon store was open on the second week, Friday April 19th thru Sunday April 21nd from 11 am to 8pm (Sunday hours start at 1pm). We appreciate our listeners and encourage you to help us continue delivering an amazing diverse mix of music year round. Operating a radio station, can't be powered only by "the love of music", and the marathon is the one time during the year when we ask for your financial help.

Please give us a call: 860-439-2850, and pledge your support to our student and community run radio station.
Visit us at the station during our marathon store hours during the second week.   It's a great opportunity meet us and check out our premiums (thank you gifts) first hand, and fulfill your pledge in person.  We will not send out the pledge slips until after the store is closed.   Let us know if you plan to stop by when you call in and make your pledge.  We will also be accepting credit cards in the marathon store this year.  Thanks for the support and please make checks payable to "WCNI" or "CCCR, Inc" (Connecticut College Community Radio)

WCNI operates on community donations.   Thank you so much for helping us stay on the air and continue to improve our station.

The Connecticut College site has more general directions to the campus, including a campus map.

Don't miss the opportunity to visit the marathon store!      Special incentives that are in limited supply will be available only in the store.   There will be hundreds of CD's to browse through, and many items from previous years.   Fullfill your pledge during store hours and save us postage, and increase the tax deductible amount of your pledge.    See our renovated station and meet some of our DJ's.   We hope you can make it.

Thank You Gifts

We have an outstanding selection of t-shirt designs and other incentives to reward our loyal listeners for their support. Check out the marathon gallery to see what they look like.

About the Marathon

WCNI is a non-profit, listener-supported radio station. WCNI operates on donations and underwritings from you, our listeners. We receive no federal or state funding. Listener contributions have kept WCNI on the air since 1985.

We need contributions to continue our existence as an autonomous free form radio station. We need your support to help with licensing fees, new additions to our music library, repairs and new equipment, and general operating costs.

Our DJ's are unpaid volunteers who are here to bring you the best alternative music that you will NOT hear on commercial radio stations. Your support allows us to provide you with an eclectic mix of programming such as the best in Polka, World, Spoken Word, Experimental, Blues, Folk, Punk, Country, Rock, Showtunes, Indie, Reggae, Hip Hop, Metal, and anything else you might find lying on the side of the road.

You can make donations by check or cash.

To donate by check - make the check out to Connecticut College Community Radio or CCCR.

Donations will be tax-deductible on the amount of money you donate, minus the fair market value of any gifts you receive.
