I have to say that since Radio 104 (104.1) and FNX (103.7) were taken over by clear channel and changed to a rap station and sports station, there hasn't been much reason to listen to the radio. It pissed me off that the only good show on the radio (That Damn Punk Show) was now gone. They played all the locals, plus bands like Piebald, the Clash, and Fugazi, just to name a few. It drove me crazy that there were now 3 all rap/r&b radio stations and none specializing in Alternative and indie rock.
Then I stumbled upon your radio station about 3 months ago, and it grabbed my attention. You were playing Joey Ramone's "Don't Worry about Me," and I just had to smile to think that someone actually cared about playing the music that I enjoyed. It is such a great station, and I especially love DJ Madame Bovary, because I usually wake up to her every morning, but the other DJ's are good as well. I want to say that I'm very glad that there is something to replace the good stations that were lost to clear channel. It's kind of nice that you actually have kept your station away from the corporate music.
Honestly, I want to thank those who have made an effort to keep WCNI an alternative station. Thank you for keeping your listeners ears happy, and giving them hope for more stations like yours. _________________ if a leader preaches worship to the sheep within the valley who'll be riding in the tank that says "just married"?
