There has been a major disruption of electrical power to the campus of Connecticut College. Power went out just after midnight, Monday 29 June. It has been off all day. There was a serious transformer malfunction down on Williams St, near the campus. I have heard that that was the root of the problem for the campus. Rumor control says that 'they' hope to have everything back up by Tuesday morning.
What a disaster for the college. Imagine having to clear out all of the buildings and cancel all activities... not to mention the disruption of WCNI's programing (oh the humanity!). Thank goodness this didn't happen in the cold of winter with a campus full of students.
Stay tuned for the return of our 2000 watt signal.

Power has been restored to the campus as of Wednesday morning. I can hear WCNI's carrier signal back on the air, too. Time to make the music.
