Heard an awesome DJ mix by Max "something or other" which infused old movie lines with electronic music and a bit of hip-hop. The record label is Decon. The DJ on WCNI gave an internet address, but I missed it. Anyone have anything? Thanks |

That would be Wax Tailor!
His current album is called "Tails of the Forgotton Melodies"
The whole thing creating new dialogs with the movie lines is quite unique. The artist is from France, perhaps this is why it currently sounds like nothing else! This album is one of my current favorites. The Track "How I feel" with the Nina Simone vocal is the one that does it for me.

I hope you have found a copy of 'Forgotten Melodies'. Now, make sure you have room for more Wax Tailor goodness.
The New album 'Hope And Sorrow' officially hits the shelves on April 2. iTunes probably has it already so, go check it out!
The same ingredients that made for first album great are still here. But, to up the ante, there are a few more collaborations - including a track with poet Ursula Rucker!
This one is well worth the money
Also, keep your eyes open. there should be some U.S. dates coming up in May. You know I'll be at one of the shows!!!!! |
