| Bush singing "Give War A Chance" |
|
|
While George Bush and his gang continue to sing
"Give War A Chance"
, we're trying to inspire radio shows to counteract that pro-war spirit. One idea is to get a bunch of stations to broadcast some combination of the songs at
"Entitled Lennon" Radio
on John Lennon's October 9th birthday or on the 25th anniversary of his assassination on December 8. Let us know if you'd like to participate. Please consider a one time bypass of your show's regular format to join this worthy cause. Do it on other dates than the mentioned dates if you like, like 9-11, and incorporate other pro-peace songs and talk, but it would be great to see a number of stations doing it on the same days. Thanks.
"blessed are the peacemakers" -- J. Christ
ps: Cheers to
The Rolling Stones
for their
slam on Bush
on their new album. Be sure to give plenty of airplay to that track.

| "Sweet Neo Con" |
|
|
Below are two different sets of lyrics on the net for the
Rolling Stones
song
"Sweet Neo Con"
which is highly critical of President Bush.
You call yourself a Christian
I think that you're a hypocrite
You say you are a patriot
I think that you're a crock of shit
And listen now, the gasoline
I drink it every day
But it's getting very pricey
And who is going to pay
How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con.... Yeah
It's liberty for all
'Cause democracy's our style
Unless you are against us
Then it's prison without trial
But one thing that is certain
Life is good at Haliburton
If you're really so astute
You should invest at Brown & Root.... Yeah
How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con
If you turn out right
I'll eat my hat tonight
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah....
It's getting very scary
Yes, I'm frightened out of my wits
There's bombers in my bedroom
Yeah and it's giving me the shits
We must have lots more bases
To protect us from our foes
Who needs these foolish friendships
We're going it alone
How come you're so wrong
My sweet neo con
Where's the money gone
In the Pentagon
Yeah ha ha ha
Yeah, well, well
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...
Neo con
---------------------------------------------------------------------
“You ride around your white castle,
On your little white horse
You lie to your people,
and blame it on your war of course
You call yourself a Christian,
I call you a hypocrite
You call yourself a patriot,
well I think you’re full of shit
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
What path have you led them on?
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
Is it time for the atom bomb?
You parade around in costume,
Expecting to be believed
But as the body bags stack up,
We believe we’ve been deceived
The horror you’ve unleased,
Will backfire with more grief
When will you ever learn,
Sweet Neo Con, as the world burns?
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
What path have you led them on?
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
Is it time for the atom bomb?
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
What path have you led them on?
Oh, sweet Neo Con,
Is it time to drop the bomb?” |

| Stones at Superbowl |
|
|
I don't think
The Stones
will perform
"Sweet Neo Con"
at the Superbowl but maybe they should. It's good to see the tide turning against the Republican party. Most of them are a corrupt, bought bunch. If there wasn't a Republican majority in Congress to shield Bush, he would probably be impeached, and if that majority is lost in the next election, perhaps that impeachment will happen. Slick Willie and Monica in the 'Oral Office' were nothing compared to what the present administration has been up to.
ps: If you consider
"Sweet Neo Con"
unairable, consider airing the latest version of
"Total Joy Down Amber Hall"
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=375946&songID=3149107
for us instead. It has nothing to do with politics and was first composed by inverting
"Honky Tonk Woman"
both musically and thematically, the latter in that
The Stones
song is about bar girls while the
Joymany
song is about a hot home girl.

| "Let's Impeach The President" by Neil Young |
|
|
Cheers To Neil Young for his new album
"Living With War"
featuring the track
"Let's Impeach The President"
. The whole album streams for free from
Neil's Garage
.
Let's impeach the president for lying
And leading our country into war
Abusing all the power that we gave him
And shipping all our money out the door
He's the man who hired all the criminals
The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors
And bend the facts to fit with their new stories
Of why we have to send our men to war
Let's impeach the president for spying
On citizens inside their own homes
Breaking every law in the country
By tapping our computers and telephones
What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees
Would New Orleans have been safer that way
Sheltered by our government's protection
Or was someone just not home that day?
Let's impeach the president
For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected
Dividing our country into colors
And still leaving black people neglected
Thank god he's cracking down on steroids
Since he sold his old baseball team
There's lot of people looking at big trouble
But of course the president is clean
Thank God
