Final week at Station 58!  Reply with quote

This is it folks....

Station 58 is closing at the end of the month. This week will be the final week that they are open for business.

Final open mic is tonight, and Anne and I will be playing. Alex from Vera from Alice will probably be there too. And, um, a cast of dozens.

I forget who exactly is playing tomorrow, but it looked like a pretty big show.

Anyway, here is an article from the day (for as long as you can view it - I think only a week or so):

Still holding out hope that they find a new place to set up... but there will definitely be some downtime...

Highlight, Fatal Film and more saturday!  Reply with quote

The final big show at Station 58 is this Saturday, 4/24.

It features Highlighter, Fatal Film, KNV and Brian Skidmore

(I think... Anne - help me out with the pertinent facts here! I always get 'em jumbled up)

The show tonight, Thursday, is Amaan Ra (sp?) which looks pretty special too.

I guess I should try to fix up their concert calendar on the Station 58 website so it no longer repeats ad infinitum... I wish they maintained that puppy with current information... sigh...

But first: can someone please correct my information above, if I'm missing some vitals...
and POST, I say! (hell, let me know if it's correct)

Station 58 final weekend  Reply with quote

The band lineup that I heard for Saturday is Highlighter, Fatal Film, Megalomaniac, and Matt Gouette. I didn't hear anything about KNV and Brian Skidmore but that's not to say they aren't playing - does anyone else know? I think ISL, Brand New London Blues Project, and Moon Patrol are playing on Friday night. Everyone should go at least one of these nights and bid farewell to a great club that always felt like home away from home --- Anne Crying or Very sad (couldn't resist trying out one of those emoticons)

anne is probably correct  Reply with quote

I trust Anne's memory a lot more than mine - so she probably has the correct lineup for Saturday.
