Welcome to the home of WCNI radio. We have some fascinating stuff to tell you, so please be patient.

Our Mission

The mission of WCNI is to provide the community, both college and local, with types of programming that are not available through any other local outlet. WCNI currently has news programming that is delivered by Connecticut College students, featuring interpretations of local, state, or national news events by Connecticut College faculty. We are also exploring the feasibility of carrying one or more alternative satellite news services in addition to this. We have public affairs programming on a number of subjects, and of course we air a diverse selection of music programming that is not available anywhere else. Our listeners love our jazz, blues, reggae, electronic, industrial, experimental, latin, noise, "indie", punk, ska, folk, bluegrass, polka, oi!, funk, celtic, metal, salsa, zydeco, Canadian, rockabilly, swing, gospel, French, meringue, gay, psychedelic, radio theatre, gnü wave (and nü wave), soul, garage, women's, dance, and world music programming.
